About WestStar Credit Union
Founded in 1975 as Howard Hughes Employees' Federal Credit Union in the Silver Slipper Casino, the institution became Summa Employees' Federal Credit Union in 1978.
Renamed WestStar Federal Credit Union in 1989, it acquired Southern Nevada State Savings & Credit Union in 1990, Las Vegas Sun FCU in 1991, and merged with Bally's FCU in 1993.
The credit union converted from a federal to a state charter in 1997 as WestStar Credit Union, serving professionals across Nevada's gaming, entertainment, and hospitality industries.

Who can join

- Employees of any company licensed for Gaming by the State of Nevada who are Nevada residents are eligible to join.
- Employees of various select employer groups (SEGs) from the original charter who are Nevada residents are eligible to join.
Family and household
- Persons related to or living in the same household as anyone who qualifies for membership are eligible to join, provided they are a Nevada resident.
Cost to join
- A $5 share deposit is required at account opening to maintain the account and secure a share in WestStar Credit Union.
