Agreement

These terms govern your use of Carrot Rate (the “site”), operated by Mammoth Holdings Group, LLC (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

What the site is

The site shows rates and other information that banks and credit unions publish on their own websites, with the date we last checked each rate. We aren’t a bank, lender, broker or financial adviser. We don’t take deposits, make loans or decide who qualifies for an account.

Information, not advice or an offer

Everything on the site is general information. It isn’t financial, tax or legal advice, a recommendation to open any account, or an offer of credit. Rankings and the Carrot Score compare published rates by the method described on our methodology page; they don’t consider your circumstances.

Accuracy of rates

Rates and terms change, and institutions don’t always update their websites at once. We work to keep what we show current, but we can’t guarantee it is accurate, complete or available to you. Always confirm the rate and terms with the institution before you open an account or apply.

Other websites

The site links to institutions’ websites and other sites we don’t control. We aren’t responsible for their content, products or practices, and a link isn’t an endorsement.

Using the site

You may use the site for your own, non-commercial purposes. Don’t copy rates or pages in bulk, scrape the site or its data, interfere with how it runs, or use it to break the law. Search engines and AI assistants may read pages as our robots.txt file allows. Contact us about any other use of our data.

Our rate reports are the exception: anyone may republish their charts and figures, in print or online, under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license, crediting Carrot Rate and linking to the report, as each report explains.

Corrections and feedback

If you send us a correction or suggestion, we may use it to update the site without owing you anything for it.

Ownership

The site’s design, text, rankings, Carrot Score and the Top Carrot mark belong to us. Institutions’ names and logos belong to their owners and appear to identify them.

Disclaimers

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that the site will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any decision you make based on information on the site. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to $100.

Your responsibility

If you misuse the site or break these terms and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover the resulting costs, including reasonable legal fees.

Changes to the site and these terms

We may change, suspend or stop any part of the site at any time. We may update these terms. We’ll post any change here with a new effective date; using the site after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the site or these terms will be heard in the state courts in Deschutes County, Oregon, or the federal courts for the District of Oregon.

General

These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn’t a waiver of it.
