Founded in 1956 in Bessemer City, North Carolina, Lithium Federal Credit Union originally offered membership to employees of Lithium Corporation of America.
Now a member-owned cooperative, the credit union changed its name from LCA Federal Credit Union in 2004 to expand membership to local companies.
Lithium Federal Credit Union is dedicated to promoting community development and providing affordable financial services to low-income persons.
