About Advanced Financial Federal Credit Union
Advanced Financial Federal Credit Union was originally chartered in 1965 by seven employees of Bell Telephone Laboratories in Murray Hill, New Jersey.
Formerly named Advanced Financial Services FCU and Bell Telephone Laboratories FCU, the credit union adopted its current name in 2005 and added Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield employees through merger.
The credit union expanded across Essex and Union counties through mergers with United Financial Services FCU in 2016 and West Orange Municipal FCU in 2020.

- Businesses, legal entities, or unincorporated organizations of members located in Essex or Union County are eligible for membership.

- Membership is open to immediate family members (spouse, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, grandkids, stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, and adoptive relationships) and household members sharing an address with eligible individuals.
Cost to join
- A minimum deposit of $5.00 is required to open a Primary Savings account to establish membership.
