About OnPoint Community Credit Union

Founded in 1932 as Portland Teachers Credit Union by 16 schoolteachers, the institution was created to provide a safe place for savings and low-cost loans to teachers and their families.

Now operating as a member-owned credit union with 60 branches, it serves residents and workers across 33 counties in Oregon and four counties in Washington.

In 2005, the credit union was granted a community charter in Oregon and Southwest Washington and changed its name to OnPoint Community Credit Union.
