  • Individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in, and businesses and other legal entities located in Amherst County, Appomattox County, Bedford County, Campbell County, Nelson County, Rockbridge County, Pittsylvania County, Caswell County NC, Rockingham County NC, Roanoke County, Botetourt County, City of Lynchburg, City of Lexington, City of Buena Vista, City of Danville, City of Roanoke, City of Salem, City of Reidsville NC, City of Eden NC, Town of Altavista, Town of Appomattox, Town of Bedford (Region 2000), or the township of Vinton are eligible for membership.

Employers and groups

  • Members at the time of community charter conversion of credit unions affiliated with the Virginia Credit Union League, the Virginia Credit Union League itself, affiliated credit union corporations, and existing select employee groups are eligible for membership.

Family and household

  • Spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership, credit union employees, retirees/pensioners/annuitants from credit union employment, members of their immediate families (related by blood, marriage, or adoption), and organizations/associations of such persons are eligible for membership.

Cost to join

  • A $5 membership share is required to qualify for Beacon products.
